REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR

JANITORIAL SERVICES

 

The Watershed Conservation Authority (WCA) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide janitorial services to the WCA offices located at the El Encanto/River Wilderness Park site in Azusa, CA.  The WCA invites submission of proposals that are responsive to the requirements of the request for proposal (RFP), which may be downloaded as a PDF file by clicking here.

To be considered for award of contract, proposal submittals must be received by 3:00pm, April 28, 2015. Further instructions and requirements are outlined in the RFP. Please also note that there will be a site walk on April 14, 2015 at 1:30 pm. This site visit is not mandatory to proposal acceptance. Staff will meet interested parties at the WCA offices located at 100 N. Old San Gabriel Canyon Road Azusa, CA 91702.  Please refer to the RFP for further information, including directions. 

Questions are welcome and shall be made in writing to me at jthompson@wca.ca.gov. Responses to any and all questions received shall be shared with all other potential proposers through this webpage.

REPONSES TO QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS - updated 4/22/15.

  1. Can WCA provide approximate amount of supplies, solutions etc. being consumed/utilized by the office as purchased and stocked by the current janitorial provider?

The current janitorial provider has provided the following approximation of items consumed by the WCA:

  • Hand/Dish Soap: 1 bottle every 2 months, stocked in bathroom and kitchen
  • Hand Towels (paper): 1 box of 24 pkgs. per month, stocked in bathroom and kitchen
  • Toilet Paper- 1 box of 32 rolls per month
  • Cleaning Solution- purchased monthly on an as needed basis

Please be mindful that the proposal fee schedule must include the cost of these items to be provided/restocked by the janitorial staff. Regular WCA employees consuming supplies totals 11 individuals. Staff will on occasion have in office meetings in which additional individuals utilize the facilities, approximately 3-4 times per month.
